The David Moody Memorial Scholarship

David Moody was the Theater Productions teacher at Brentwood High School and has built sets and custom set pieces for productions for over 30 years. David loved teaching students how to use power tools, designing and building all of the theatre sets, and investing in students. David passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Day in 2024 but we wanted his legacy to live on.

Over the last 30 plus years, David helped his wife, Lisa, bring a number of shows to Thespian conferences both in Memphis and Murfreesboro. The Board thought it was only right to create a scholarship in his honor to help other schools experience the incredible experience of performing at ThesCon. Two $500 scholarships will be given to the shows chosen to perform at thespian conference to help offset the cost of bringing a show.
